Acer Iconia A100 - 7" AND honeycomb 3.2

The title says it all, there arent any of these that have all the features of a full ipad in 7" tablet
This thing has, ecompass, GPS, wifi bgn, honeycomb 3.2, capacitive multitouch etc.
but it comes at a downfall... battery life is far from perfect, in fact with full HD, your video will
drain this device in about 2.3 hours. that isnt to say its not worth it, since with wifi off, reading
and ebook; youll still get about 5 or 6 hours. Just remember to turn off things like GPS
when your not using them.

Now for the price, this thing is rock solid; it has the speed and performance of 10 inch tablets
in a 7 inch one. If your not new to tablets, you know exactly what im talking about here.

Now this tablet has a few quarks; but from my reading and experiances, if this thing was using 2.3
OS instead of 3.2 it probably wouldnt have them; and if it gets ICS 4.0 OS down the road; it probably wont. Many people experiance these issues, many people never do; just know what they are.
so far asus "from what im seeing anyway" replaces any tablet deemed poor.

What are they you ask? Well for starters it has an issue the community refers to as
"The sleep of death" in fact if you search for "the sleep of death a100"
google will return a wopping 55,100 results.

There is another issue where at 15-20% battery, it goes into standby and wont wake up.
this is pretty bad since it should still run with a 20% charge! but again its probably software
telling it "omg, battery dead, must sleep now!" - apparently this issue happens on lots
of 3.2 Tablets.

Sometimes this thing just hiccups, for no reason; literally, the whole device will seem to hiccup with sudden bouts of lag and unresponsiveness that last a mere second or two. returning each 5 to 10 seconds; and lasting overall 2 or 3 minutes. but again - this is related to 3.2 from what ive seen and been told.

Prices seem to vary wildly online with amazon being the most stable and unchanged.
And with Amazons free shipping, is almost cheapest too.

Well givin all ive said about it above, would I buy one? HELL YEA
in fact I did, i bought the 8GB version of the A100, and its fantastic; ive started using it over my Le Pan Tc970. and although the display isnt nearly as great, theres something to be said for just 7 inches
with a 10 inch feature set. The only annoyance so far, is probably what you expected, battery
life, ive had it die on me just once, but I was away from home 2 days and didnt have my charger.
This thing is sexy, and i made my cousin, and ipad2 owner, wanna trade me ;P
