Le Pan TC 970 - iPad2 Clone
This is the Le Pan TC 970 Tablet PC: Aside from the buttons, this was "in my opinion" to be
a clone of the Mac's " iPad 2 "; - Even the way it was packaged in its box.
And although this is a budget tablet, it doesnt feel, or operate like one; i was shocked!!!
Now this tablet has some impressive features for the price of just $200-225 (See In-Store or Online).
And it has GPS built inside (not external), not something usual for this price range!!!
GPS isnt assisted, theres no celluar ( Only WiFi ). An e-compass rounds out this feature
making it the perfect tablet to double as a GPS unit in your car. and with the right program
like sygic - you can have turn by turn audible calling.

This tablet simply does everything your going to throw at it, and you wont find many bugs.
Out of the box, theres a small problem with sputters and freezing, but the company prompty
fixed it with a rom/firmware update, you can find it Le Pan TC970 Support Page;
This ran everything we threw at it, games like angry birds ran in seconds, and flawlessly.
Check XDA Developers for the rooting; although this is the first tablet ive played with that
simply doesnt need it done.
This tablet is NOT cheap chinese technology; and is made in USA if im correct.
When buying on Amazon warehouses in both Canada, and USA have it; and not from china.
Ive seen reviews that sometimes it ships with chinese as default language though, which is
weird, but a reset "pinhole button" on the rear fixes this every time.
Interested? i strongly suggest this as the first stop over most tablets.
There is a Le Pan II comming in Late January "according to company"
but will have a higher price; but specs to go with it!
CONS:
The only con I can think of in this price range, is the tablet has no USB ports, or microUSB.
And in addition to that, the plug for your computer is a proprietary 30 pin connection.
These wires are $5 from the company though; but still sucks.
We rate this: 8/10 stars
